Viscount Plastics Ltd (Pact Packaging)

From a plastics moulding pioneer of the 1960's to taking a lead in the 'greening' of materials handling and packaging in New Zealand, Viscount Plastics has a long history of innovation.

Whilst plastics manufacturing, particularly rigid-walled packaging, remains a core company activity, Viscount Plastics is increasingly utilising strong international partnerships to source, bulk buy and hold in stock plastic materials handling products for immediate supply to customers at highly competitive prices. All rigid sided and foldable bins, pallets, retail bins, and produce and security crates available from Viscount Plastics support our commitment to taking a lead roll in the 'greening' of materials handling and packaging in New Zealand.

The vast majority of materials handling products available from Viscount Plastics are multi-trip (known as RTP – Returnable Transit Packaging) or multi-use, and all at the end of their service lives can be recycled as raw material for plastics production. First of its kind research now proves RTP's product carbon footprint to be much smaller than one-trip cardboard cartons. Product carbon footprint (PCF) is a measurement of Greenhouse Gas emissions over a product's life cycle and its contribution to global warming. Independent studies have shown that RTP products hold a 70% more efficient carbon footprint than similar one way cardboard packaging.

Depending on what it contains, rigid-walled packaging is capable of multi-use with all pails and containers available from Viscount Plastics suitable for recycling as plastic raw material.
