What is the Diploma In Design & Specification of Plastics (DDSP)?
The Diploma in Design & Specification of Plastics (DDSP), developed by Plastics NZ, is a comprehensive, industry-led programme designed to build skills in plastics product design and development. Delivered by expert practitioners, the diploma covers key topics including polymer performance, processing, design, sustainability, and material chemistry. Aimed at professionals across manufacturing, supply, sales, marketing, and design, the course is structured into four parts over seven in-person days in Auckland, with assignments following each module. Run twice yearly, the programme can be completed within one semester or over two years, equipping participants with practical, real-world knowledge to support career growth.
Eligibility:
Limited to Plastics New Zealand Member Companies. Open to junior or emerging professionals whose role or workplace may not usually provide access to this type of training, but who demonstrate motivation, curiosity, and a desire to develop their skills.
