OCS NZ Criteria

All sites that handle raw plastics within Aotearoa are eligible to become OCS NZ certified. This includes:

  • Plastics Manufacturers
  • Plastics Recyclers/Reprocessors
  • Logistics and Warehousing

To become certified, sites must be audited by a Plastics New Zealand appointed third party auditor. This helps to ensure that the correct measures are in place for handling plastics safely, managing spills effectively, and capturing leaked materials.

Because each site is different, OCS certification is awarded to sites rather than companies. View all of the NZ certified sites here

OCS is an international, industry-led programme helping companies eliminate plastic pellet, flake, and powder loss to the environment.
OCS New Zealand (OCS NZ) is managed by Plastics New Zealand, industry association for members of the plastics value chain within Aotearoa.
