AMA Awards Success for Pact Group NZ

A standout moment at the recent Advancing Manufacturing Aotearoa Minister for Manufacturing Awards was Pact Packaging NZ EGM Deanne Holdsworth being named Manufacturing Leader of the Year 2026.

In their second year, the Minister for Manufacturing Awards were presented at a special event held during EMEX on the 27 May 2026. Presented by the Minister for Manufacturing, Hon Cameron Brewer, the Awards shine a light on the exceptional people and businesses whose efforts drive productivity, workforce prosperity and global competitiveness of the sector.

The Manufacturing Leader of the Year 2026 award recognises leaders who deliver measurable impact through strong leadership and strategic growth.

With more than 20 years of experience, Deanne has consistently translated strategy into safe, effective execution while championing circular recycling and sustainable packaging outcomes across New Zealand. Her contribution has had a significant impact on both the business and the wider industry, and it’s fantastic to see her recognised at this level.

Adding to the success of the evening, Pact Group NZ was also recognised in a highly competitive Manufacturer of the Year (50+ FTE) category, receiving a Highly Commended — a rare and meaningful acknowledgement.

These awards go beyond business performance to recognise contributions to industry, including advancing the circular economy, workforce development, and advocacy. This recognition reflects the important role Pact’s New Zealand team continues to play in shaping a more circular future.
