Awards Season is here!
We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of those in the plastics industry helping to shape the future through innovation and excellence. PNZ members feature among the AMA Manufacturing & Hi-Tech Awards finalists, alongside newly announced PIDA and Fieldays finalists, while the BEST Design Awards entries are now open.
Minister for Manufacturing Awards
We’re delighted to see Plastics Industry members named as finalists in the Minister for Manufacturing Awards.

Winners will be officially announced at the EMEX Exhibition at Auckland Showgrounds on Wednesday 27 May with the Minister for Manufacturing, Hon Cameron Brewer. It will be an opportunity to recognise excellence across the sector and celebrate the people and businesses driving New Zealand manufacturing forward.
NZ Hi -Tech Awards

Winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on 22 May 2026, at Spark Arena in Auckland, bringing the sector together for an unforgettable night honouring the 2026 finalists, winners, and Flying Kiwis.
PIDA Awards
The AIP are pleased to advise the finalists for the 2026 round of the annual Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards have been announced with a significant number of outstanding innovations being recognised across 14 categories. Coordinated by the AIP, the PIDA awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field across Australia and New Zealand. The awards program is also the exclusive entry point into the WorldStar Packaging Awards for Australia and New Zealand.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) gala awards ceremony that will be held on the 28th of July at The Aviary, Crown Complex, in Melbourne alongside foodpro.
Fieldays Innovation Awards
Traditional practical inventions are well represented in the finalists of this year’s Fieldays Innovation Awards). From a pool of 57 exhibiting participants, a total of 19 stand-out entries have been named as finalists and are moving on to the final round of judging, taking place during Fieldays, 10 – 13th June 2026 at Mystery Creek, Hamilton.
BEST Design Awards
Entries are currently open for the 2026 BEST Design Awards.
The Best Design Awards is an annual showcase of excellence from graphic, spatial, industrial design, digital, animation and film, along with three special awards - Value of Design, Social Good and Toitanga (our indigenous award).
Entries close the end of June with winners announced in October at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland.
