Plastics New Zealand is a non profit making, national industry group, representing over 180 member companies.  Members include plastics processors, raw material and machinery suppliers, tool makers, designers and recyclers. Plastics New Zealand co-ordinates responses and initiatives to facilitate the continuing development of its membership and the industry.

Plastics New Zealand Incorporated's mission is to "maximise the growth and success of plastics-based technology in New Zealand in an economically, socially and environmentally responsible manner".

The membership covers over 75% of the New Zealand industry which has a turnover of $1.8 billion per year, and employs more than 8,000 people. Fourteen New Zealand plastics processing companies in New Zealand employ more than 100 people each.

We liaise with New Zealand's government on a wide range of issues, sponsor the Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation, co-ordinate industrial relations matters, and undertake environmental research, education and communication.
