Plastics New Zealand National Executive 2010/2011

Ray Pryor: (President)
Over 43 years in the plastics industry. Technical director of Millennium Plastics who are specialists injection moulders. Previously held roles within CHH Plastics including design, engineering, manufacturing, group technical. Holds an NZCE (Plastics) and is a Professional Member of DINZ. Currently President of Plastics New Zealand.

Eddie Devine (Jr): (Vice President):
Holds a Bachelor of Business Degree (Accounting/Marketing Management), along with certificates in Plastic Processing. Immediate Auckland Branch Past President
Officially been involved in the Industry for the past 12+ years, even though he's been involved since a young child. Is Operations Director for Simaplas Ltd and is married to Lisa, with two primary aged childrren.
Currently Vice President of Plastics New Zealand.

Terry Mischefski: (Immediate Past President)
31 years Plastics Industry experience. Director of Expol Ltd. Has twice chaired the EPS group and has represented the EPS Group on the National Executive Committee. Immediate Past President of Plastics New Zealand.

David Brittain:
Industry involvement started in 1970’s with roles in chemical and plastics manufacturing, sales, marketing and management, including the establishment of James Hardie Plastics in 1982. Graduate Diploma in Advanced Management. Director of Capac International Ltd. Past President of Plastics New Zealand.

Graeme Allan:
29 years in Plastics Industry. A Process and Production Management background in Moulding and Extrusion processes, currently Human Resource Development Manager with Iplex Pipelines in Palmerston North. Served the Plastics ITO since it began as the National Technical Training Committee, then Chaired the Plastics ITO Executive from 1997 to 2000. A member of the Industrial Relations subcommittee since 1995.

Ken Sowman:
Group Operations Manager of the Gallagher Group, who have inhouse injection moulding and tool-making capabilities, (Sunplas Engineering) Ken has been actively involved in the Plastics Industry for nearly 34 years. He has had two terms on the National Executive and has also served on the Environmental Committee.

Tony Miller:
28 years experience in the Plastics Industry mostly as GM and CEO of several flexible packaging and injection moulding businesses. He is now the owner operator of a custom injection moulder Lane Plastics. He has previously served on the ITO board, Industrial Relations Working Group, Packaging Council and served on the National Executive for 14 years.

Nigel Donne:
Human Resource Manager, with Marley New Zealand for 16 years. Previous President Plastics ITO. Previous President Auckland Branch. Currently Chairman of the Industrial Relations Group.

Colin Butler:
With 20 years technical sales experience, Colin has a tertiary qualification in Chemistry and has spent time with UK company Croda both here and overseas, and Omya of Switzerland, before beginning with Hunt Agencies in 2002. Currently serving on the Auckland Branch Committee, the ITO Board as well as PNZ National Executive as Corporate Suppliers Representative.

John Bennett:
22 years experience in the plastics industry and 36 years within the manufacturing sector. Has held roles in Engineering, Technical, Quality and Operations Management with a number of companies. Operations Manager of Chemvin Plastics Ltd.

Rachel Barker:
Current Auckland Branch President. Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering specialising in manufacturing. Working in industry for 13 years – firstly in product development, moved to computer aided engineering, ‘majoring’ in simulation of injection molding & ‘minoring’ in materials selection. Have become more involved in tooling since joining F&P Healthcare and am currently in role of Project Leader focusing on tooling for new facility.

Alan Brennan:
Current General Manager of Barnes Plastics Ltd in Auckland and Chairman of the EPS Sector Group.

Barbara Wilkinson:
Chief Executive of PaMPITO since August 2007. 20+ years of Management experience and a background in consulting to the manufacturing sector on training and marketing issues. Provides strategic leadership to the Plastics Industry on training and employee development. Has an MBA from the University of Auckland.

John McKee:
Has been involved in the Plastics Industry for over 20 years in primarily technical roles with experience across most processes and materials. Formal education includes a BSc (Hons) in Polymer Engineering and a PhD Modifying Polyesters, both from the UK. Over the last 5 years there has been involvement with Plastics New Zealand on the Environmental Committee, Plastics Centre of Excellence, DDSP programme and a variety of standards committees.

Stephen Falvey:
Director – Business Development. Uniplas NZ Limited; Over 30 years experience in the plastics supply and manufacturing industry. In 1998, acquired All Plastics Ltd, an injection moulding and plasticware manufacturing and distribution operation based in Lower Hutt. In 2006 All Plastics Ltd merged with it’s neighbour Lamnei Plastics to form Uniplas NZ Ltd, specialising in custom injection moulding and toolmaking. Currently Wellington Branch President and also current Chairman of the Board of PaMPITO.

John Lovett:
Currently General Manager of Talbot Technoloigies Ltd in Christchurch, specialists in technical Injection Moulding and Thermoforming. Current South Island Branch President.

Bart Englesman:
Current Waikato Branch President.  Managing Director of Active Plastics Ltd in Hamilton.
